1. The financing and the timetable
A timetable and quantity structure will also be drawn up for the financing.
It is planned to build up 40,000 km of tracks incl. stops in cities in Germany within the next 10 years. (4,000 km per year)
a. Rough cost breakdown:
- 1 km of rails approx. 4 million EUR
- Maintenance 500 EUR per km per year starting from the 2nd year onwards.
- IT costs 10 million for the first 4 years, then 7 million
b. Rough financing:
Financing starts at 10% pro rata from the 2nd year (equivalent to 4,000 km) and increases by 10% each subsequent year until 100% and the 40,000 km is reached.
c. Compilation
1. Proportionate costs of 50% of the accident costs from 2019
(traffic fatalities 1,500, serious injuries, minor injuries and property damage approx. 24.0 billion EUR
2. 70% of the motor vehicle tax is rebooked approx. 6.5 billion EUR
3. Proportionate CO2 consumption from 2017 with 70% for the cities approx. 8.0 billion EUR
4. 60% of the mineral oil tax approx. 24.0 billion EUR
5. 50% of public transport costs approx. 5.5 billion EUR
6. Congestion costs in cities approx. 5.0 billion EUR
Total: approx. 73.0 billion EUR / year

Costs of EUR 0.10 are included per kilometre used. The billing should be done with the borderless ticket

New materials should be used to create the rails. The following materials are already available:
